The wood:<\/strong>
\nTalking about our environment we can not ignore the importance and the beauty of the wood that has been taken care of by the man for centuries as a resource that can provide timber for heating, food and grazing for farm animals such as pigs.
\nNowadays due to the decrease of the farming population the wood is usually neglected, turning place of walks and unfortunately also repository of rubbish.
\nOur woods are populated mostly of oaks, holm, cypress, and pines. About shrub species, there are juniper, laurel, rosehip, whitethorn and arbutus.
\nIn the autumn is possible find truffles and mushrooms, among these the best know are porcini, rosselle, pinarello, ovolo and may others.
\nRemember that to keep mushrooms it’s necessary the authoritazion of the municipality and if you can not recognize mushrooms the best thing is to go with someone who knows mushrooms very well, because there are a lot of poisonous mushrooms!
\nIf you want to do a walk in the wood in the sunny days of spring and summer, we recommend to bring hiking shoes and be beware of vipers.
