10 days of feast in San Donato in Poggio<\/p>\n

From the 26 of June till 5 of July, San Donato will be populate by Artists, Musicians, Atisans, Medieval Parades and lot more!<\/p>\n

And after 10 years, returns the Palio dei Ciuchi.<\/p>\n

La Bruscellata<\/p>\n

The bruscellata originated from the popular Tuscan farse \u201cIl Bruscello\u201d
\nwhich was performed in the spring by an all-male company,
\nwith an \u201carboscello\u201d (shrubbery) in hand: (ar) buscello, a branch and
\ntwig crossed, brusco from the Latin \u201cKnot of wood\u201d. The bruscello
\n(know as Segavecchia in the areas of Siena and Arezzo, Zingaresca
\nin the regions around Lucca to the lower Arno river valley) is performed
\nwith costumes that have no precise historical reference, but are
\nmos t imaginative, and which are rented from small theatrical wardrobes,
\noften embellished by the actors themselves.<\/p>\n
