La Bruscellata
10 days of feast in San Donato in Poggio
From the 26 of June till 5 of July, San Donato will be populate by Artists, Musicians, Atisans, Medieval Parades and lot more!
And after 10 years, returns the Palio dei Ciuchi.
The Palio of Donkeys.
During these 10 days, there will be events in the pincipal places of San Donato.

La Bruscellata
The bruscellata originated from the popular Tuscan farse “Il Bruscello”
which was performed in the spring by an all-male company,
with an “arboscello” (shrubbery) in hand: (ar) buscello, a branch and
twig crossed, brusco from the Latin “Knot of wood”. The bruscello
(know as Segavecchia in the areas of Siena and Arezzo, Zingaresca
in the regions around Lucca to the lower Arno river valley) is performed
with costumes that have no precise historical reference, but are
mos t imaginative, and which are rented from small theatrical wardrobes,
often embellished by the actors themselves.

La Baccellata
For the 6th consecutive year, Fattoria Montecchio and our Association, is glad to invite you in the mansion, to spend good time in company.
Baccelli, Spalla and a good glass of Wine!

During the day, you can visit the underground cellars, the frantoio (oil mill), garden and the park surrounding the Villa.
